Why We Exist

2 Thessalonians 3:10 ESVWork is not a punishment to survive. It's a purpose to fulfill, and a duty to carry. Made To Work exists to help men do both: build real skill in the trades, and stand as providers for the people who depend on them.
Our Mark
The mark is a level: a bar, a bubble, nothing hidden. It's the tool nothing else gets built without: walls, floors, whatever comes after inherits whatever error you started with. Ours crosses two of them, checking a surface true in both directions at once. That's a real feature on a torpedo level, not a symbol we forced. It happens to cross where the vials meet; we're leaving that where we found it rather than pointing at it.
Scripture reaches for the same image to talk about character: Isaiah makes "righteousness the plumb line" (Isaiah 28:17), and Amos sees God holding one against His own people to ask if they're still true (Amos 7:7-8). The double-check is the point: a man can be plumb at work and badly out of true at home, disciplined in the trade and undisciplined everywhere else. Genesis 2:15 places a man in the garden to do real work; 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says that work carries real weight. Made To Work is built on both. Check if it's true, in every direction, before you build on it.
